Construction underway at The Hotel Zamora

$7.5 million renovation to be completed this fall

{ST. PETE BEACH, FLA., August 5, 2024}—Sherman Associates announces construction is underway on the $7.5 million renovation of The Hotel Zamora in St. Pete Beach, with completion expected this fall. The 64-key boutique hotel will be repositioned into a 4-star luxury hotel.

Located at 3701 Gulf Boulevard, The Hotel Zamora is situated on the Intracoastal Waterway, offering private dock access and boat slips for guests and public use. The hotel features the upscale Castile Restaurant & Lounge and the 360 Rooftop, which provides panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico, downtown St. Pete, and the Intracoastal. Both the 360 Rooftop along with indoor and outdoor event spaces are available for weddings and group reservations.

A complete renovation will position the hotel to better serve its local clientele. The renovation will deliver upgraded guestrooms with improved sound attenuation; enhanced amenities including the lobby, pool deck, pool bar, and fitness center; and new exterior signage and landscaping. The remodeled guestrooms will provide a modern coastal setting designed to welcome guests with a relaxing atmosphere. Additionally, the adjacent 2,500 SF office building will be converted into a wedding and event venue, accommodating up to 90 guests.

The restaurant will rebrand in the coming months and feature a Mediterranean-inspired menu with locally sourced ingredients, while maintaining its signature dishes. The restaurant interiors will showcase a fresh and vibrant design.

Gilbert Bolivar leads hotel operations as the General Manager at The Hotel Zamora, with over 20 years of hospitality and food & beverage experience with major franchises including Marriott, Hilton, Universal Studios, Caesars Entertainment, and Darden.

DLR Group is the architect and Lema Construction is the general contractor.

The Hotel Zamora and Castile remain open during construction. Castile is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with brunch on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The 360 Rooftop is open daily from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Reservations can be made through Open Table.
